Used car warranty

We provide a minimum of 3 months warranty on all of our used cars. Upon vehicle purchase, you will have the option to extend this further. Various cover levels are also available to suit your needs and are listed below.

What is a car warranty?

A warranty protects your car by covering the cost of repairs from mechanical or electrical failure.This offers peace of mind, just in case the unexpected happens.

What you get with an AA warranty

We offer different warranties depending on the age, mileage and make of your car.

Protect Lite Plus: Protection against most electrical and mechanical components
Protect Essential: Keep car ownership stress-free with our standard cover
Protect Plus: Comprehensive cover for that complete peace of mind

Our warranty gives you peace of mind against expensive repairs.

Cover for almost all mechanical and electrical faults^
Hybrid and electric vehicles
Working materials and parts replaced in pairs, such as coil springs and shock absorbers
In-car entertainment and remote key fobs*
No limits on the number of claims made, up to purchase price of vehicle
Access to a nationwide approved repair network
Free AA Basic Breakdown Cover for vehicles used for personal use only

If the failed part is covered, our warranty will pay out for the costs of parts, labour and VAT for repairing or replacing it, up to the claim limit outlined on your warranty documentation.

Free breakdown cover

Purchase an AA warranty and you’ll be eligible for free Basic Breakdown Cover if the vehicle you own is being used for personal use only. We have exclusive offers on upgrade to a higher level of cover, for new and existing AA members. T&C’s apply.
